Sign In:
READ AfterSchool students meet and are signed in after dismissal from 2:00-2:15. (1:00-1:15 Mondays)
Recreational Activities:
Weather permitting, students engage in supervised outdoor recreation from 2:15 - 3:00. (Monday: 1:15 - 2:00; Friday: 2:15 - 2:45)
Snack:
Snack is served after recreation, from 3:00 - 3:30 (2:00 - 2:30 on Mondays).
Homework Time & Enrichment Activities:
After snack, the students transition to a classroom to begin homework and reading from 3:30 - 4:15 or 4:30, depending on grade level.
Upon completion of homework, students have a choice of fun, enriching activities until our next transition.
On Mondays, we have an additional enrichment period. Activities vary and include club time (TiViTz or Sight Word Bingo, for example), "onsite field trips" with guests from local nonprofits and cultural organizations, or monthly birthday celebrations.
Late Afternoon Activities:
At 5:00, students move outside, weather permitting, to engage in outdoor play.
Pick Up:
All students are picked up by 6:00 pm. We send out text messages daily updating families of our transitions via the Remind app.
